How do I know if I have it?
- Take a TB skin test. If positive, then other tests
Who is at risk for TB?
- Living close to someone who has TB?
- Very low-income people
- People who drink too much alcohol and illegal drug users
- HIV infection
- Somalis because a lot of people in Somalia have TB
- People who have certain medical conditions
What should I do if I have TB?
- Get required laboratory tests
- Follow doctors advice
- Take prescribed medicine for the full time to stay cured
